GPS Tracking

To help you better understand the workings of GPS technology, think of the 24 orbiting satellites as a constellation of stars – they are referred to as a constellation because we know where their orbital locations are going to be. The ground stations ensure we know where the satellites are through radar technology. A receiver, such as your phone or one within a car, is constantly listening for a signal from these satellites – this receiver calculates how far it is from the nearest satellites. After receiving signal from four or more satellites, an accurate geographical location can be relayed to the user - this allows for accuracy within several yards.

The Blackline Dart GPS is one of the best in the industry, it is the go-to for many military and law enforcement agencies around the world. The components of the Blackline Dart GPS are protected within a weather-proof, sealed enclosure. Location updates can be provided at intervals of several seconds or several minutes, this depends on the needs of the client.

The Trax G+ generation of GPS trackers are one of the newest on the market. They are a good economical alternative to the Blackline Dart GPS, both work using the same network of satellites. These trackers possess a feature which alerts the user when the target enters or leaves a specified area or location.

If purchased, the Blackline Dart GPS and Trax G+ GPS are monitored through the use of 1 year service contracts – rental options are also available. According to Provincial and Federal laws, Global Positioning Systems are legally only allowed to be used on entities directly owned by the client, proof of this will be requested prior to deployment.
